Oklahoma Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab, formed 1995.

Statement of purpose

Recognizing that cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation is a multi-disciplinary field, the Oklahoma Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation is dedicated to the improvement of clinical practice, promotion of scientific inquiry, communication and advancement of education for the benefit of health care professionals and the public.

Objectives

  • To provide educational opportunities for the professionals caring for the cardiovascular and pulmonary patient through sponsorship and /or promotion of education, conferences, scientific meetings and publications.
  • To promote an exchange of ideas and develop a communication network among the members of the Oklahoma Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • To promote, throughout the public sector, understanding as to the nature of cardiovascular and pulmonary health and rehabilitation and to increase awareness of the related health care services available in Oklahoma.

  1. To collaborate with other organizations having interests similar to those of this Association.
  2. To encourage, coordinate and/or sponsor research that will enhance the understanding of rehabilitation’s impact on disease processes, the health and personal welfare of patients and the social health care support system.
